If your Sync, Back up, or Upload process is stuck or shows errors, it is usually related to file permissions, file status, or changes in the file location.
Permission error: "pCloud doesn't have permissions to sync/backup this file"
This error typically means that the file:
- Is set to read-only, or
- Is locked by another application.
How to resolve:
Check if the file is read-only and remove the restriction:
Check file and folder location
If the files or folders have been moved or deleted from their original location, Sync or Back up may stop working correctly.
- Make sure the original folder still exists.
- Reconnect or re-add the folder if needed.
Check shared folder permissions
If you are syncing or backing up a shared folder:
- Ensure you still have access to the folder
- Verify that you have Edit permissions
Without proper permissions, Sync, Back up, or Upload will not be able to process the files.
