Eligibility & Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site or Services
- Registration is subject to approval by pCloud
- Keep your credentials confidential and notify us of any unauthorized access
- Registering multiple accounts is treated as abuse of service
User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for all content you upload, download, or share
- Do not copy, upload, or share files unless you have the right to do so
- Content may be protected by intellectual property rights
- We recommend backing up all your content and data
Prohibited Activities
When using pCloud, you agree NOT to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
- Transmit illegal, abusive, defamatory, or harmful content
- Send spam or unauthorized advertising
- Interfere with or damage the Services
- Attempt to probe or breach security measures
- Circumvent storage limits
- Sell or resell pCloud Services without authorization
User Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload. By using pCloud, you grant us a license to:
- Host, backup, and share your content at your direction
- Display thumbnails, previews, and enable features like search and OCR
- Use your reviews/feedback to promote pCloud

pCloud Crypto (Encryption)
pCloud Crypto provides client-side encryption with zero-knowledge privacy:
- Encryption happens on your device
- pCloud has no access to your Passphrase
- If you lose your Passphrase, it cannot be recovered

Payment & Subscriptions
- Free plans available with limited features
- Renewal subscriptions: Auto-renew until cancelled
- Lifetime subscriptions: Valid for account owner's lifetime or 99 years
- 14-day money-back guarantee for paid services
- Fees are non-refundable after the guarantee period
Storage & Traffic
- 99.9% uptime target for pCloud storage
- Deleted files go to Trash (retention based on plan)
- Trash size limit equals storage quota (up to 2TB)
- Traffic limits may apply to download links
Account Termination
- Unverified accounts: Deleted if email not verified in reasonable time
- Inactive free accounts: Deleted after 12 months of inactivity
- We may terminate accounts for Terms violations
Liability & Disclaimers
For EU Users:
- Services provided "as is" without warranties
- Liability limited to direct, foreseeable losses
- Maximum liability: fees paid or EUR 5,000
For Non-EU Users:
- Use at your own risk
- No liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- You are responsible for backing up your data
Governing Law
- Governed by the laws of Switzerland
- Disputes handled in Canton Zürich courts
- EU users outside Switzerland: local jurisdiction applies
