What is pCloud Transfer?
pCloud Transfer is a file-sharing service that allows you to upload files and generate a download link that you can share with others. pCloud Transfer lets you send files up to 5 GB to anyone, including people who do not have a pCloud account. Open pCloud Transfer, add your files, and choose whether to send them by email or with a link.
It is designed for quick, one-time file sharing, especially for large files.
Supported File Types
pCloud Transfer supports all file types. There are no restrictions on the type of content you can send.
How to Use pCloud Transfer
You can add one or more files from your device. The total size of the transfer can be up to 5 GB.
To add files:
- Open transfer.pcloud.com.
- Drag and drop the files into the transfer window, or select Browse to choose them from your device.
- Check that the files you want to send appear in the list.
Send Files by Email
Choose email delivery when you want pCloud Transfer to send the transfer directly to your recipient by email.
- Select the option to send the transfer by email.
- Enter the recipient's email address.
- Add a message if needed.
- Choose an expiration date for the transfer link if needed.
- Accept the pCloud Privacy Policy.
- Send the transfer.
If you are signed in to a pCloud account, the transfer is sent directly. If you do not have a pCloud account, you must verify your email address first.
Send Files by Link
Choose link delivery when you want to share the transfer yourself. You must verify your email address before pCloud Transfer provides the link.
After verification, you can copy the link and send it to the recipient using the method you prefer.
Verify Your Email Address
If you do not send the transfer from a pCloud account, pCloud Transfer asks you to verify your email address. This confirms that you authorized the transfer.
You need to complete email verification within 6 hours. If you do not verify the address in time, the transfer is canceled.
Protect Files With a Password
You can choose to protect your transfer with a password. The files are encrypted in your browser using AES-256.
Share the password with the recipient through a separate secure channel. The recipient needs it to open the files.
Receive Download Notifications
When the recipient downloads the files, you receive an email notification. This lets you know that the transfer was downloaded.
