You can check where your data is stored from the Account Settings of any pCloud platform:
- Website
- Desktop app
- Mobile app

- Access
Account Settingson the website: my.pcloud.com - Select a different data region for your files
- Note: This option requires a relocation fee
Relocation Fee
Due to the high resource consumption of the migration process, a relocation fee is required. This covers:
- Cost of transferring and storing your data securely
- Temporary multiple copies kept on both server sets for safety
Family Plan Considerations
If you're a member of a Family plan:
- The data region is determined by the Family Owner's account
- All family members share the same data region
Cross-Region Collaboration
Important limitation: You can only directly collaborate on shared folders stored in the same data region as your account.
- US region users can collaborate with other US region users
- EU region users can collaborate with other EU region users
- Cross-region collaboration via "Invite to folder" is not supported
Data Center Certification
The European data center is certified to SSAE 16 SOC 2, Type II standards, ensuring a high level of security and compliance.
