What are third-party backups?
Third-party backups let you import files from external services directly into your pCloud account via Backups -> Third-party.
Supported services:
- Google Drive
- Dropbox
- Dropbox Business
- OneDrive
- Google Photos
Note: Some integrations (e.g. Instagram and ongoing Google Photos backups) are no longer available due to API changes.
How to start a backup
- Go to Backups -> Third-party in my.pCloud
- Select a service and click Start (for one-time backups)
- Connect your account and grant access
Types of backups
One-time backups
- Started manually
- Available for: Google Drive, Dropbox, Dropbox Business, OneDrive and Google Photos
- Can be run once every 28 days (except Google Photos)
- Each backup is saved in a new dated folder
Google Photos specifics:
- Select up to 2000 photos per backup
- Files are grouped by date
- Can be run again immediately after completion
Ongoing backups:
- Run automatically after activation
- Currently available for Facebook (every 7 days)
How they work:
- Files are saved in the same folder
- Existing files may be overwrittern
- New files are added
- Deleted files from the source remain in pCloud
How to check backup status
Go to Backups -> Third-party and check:
- Status (Running, Completed, etc.)
- Number of transferred files and folders
