Shared Links

Share files and folders with anyone using Shared Links in pCloud. Learn about link settings, password protection, branding, and traffic management.

Note: Your recipients will get an instant preview from their browser, even if they don't have a pCloud account.

Creating Shared Links

Generate a Shared Link to share files or folders with anyone:

From my.pCloud (website):

  1. Open my.pcloud.com
  2. Right-click on a file or folder
  3. Click Share link
  4. The link will be generated automatically
  5. Copy and share the link with recipients

From pCloud Drive (context menu):

  1. Open your pCloud Drive file directory
  2. Right-click on a folder
  3. Select Share > Link
  4. The link will be generated automatically
  5. Copy and share the link with recipients

From Mobile app (context menu):

  1. Open your pCloud mobile app
  2. Open the context menu of a file or folder
  3. Click Share link
  4. The link will be generated automatically
  5. Copy and share the link with recipients

Share Link Settings

    Password Protection

    Protect your shared links with a password for extra security (Premium feature):

    1. Open my.pCloud
    2. Mark a file/folder and click Share > Share link
    3. Go to Password protection and enter a password
    4. Save your changes and share the link

    Premium Feature: Password protection is currently available only for Premium users.

    Expiration Date

    Add a custom expiration date to your shared links (Premium feature):

    1. Open my.pCloud
    2. Choose a folder and click Share > Share link
    3. Click on Settings
    4. Set a custom expiration date
    5. Finish generating your link

    Shared Link Traffic

    Shared link traffic is the traffic generated when other people stream or download content from your shared links.

    Traffic Limits by Plan

    Every pCloud plan has a specified amount of shared link traffic that resets monthly:

    • pCloud Basic: 50 GB per month
    • pCloud Premium: 500 GB per month
    • pCloud Premium Plus: 2 TB per month

    How to Add More Traffic

    If you need more shared link traffic:

    Shared Link Statistics

    Track who is viewing and downloading your shared content:

    From my.pCloud:

    1. Open my.pCloud and log in to your account
    2. Go to Shared > Links > Statistics

    From pCloud for Android/iOS:

    1. Open the app and go to Shared links (left menu)
    2. Choose a folder/file and tap the More options menu
    3. Choose "View Statistics"

    Shared Links Section

    All your shared files and folders are listed in the Shared Links section, located in the pCloud main menu.

    • Designed for easier subsequent sharing
    • Share the same file or folder with multiple people without regenerating links
    • View all active shared links in one place

    Suspended Shared Links

    A shared link may be suspended if the content is not compliant with pCloud's Terms and Conditions.

    Sharing Links on Android

    Create and manage shared links from your Android device with the pCloud mobile app.

    How to Share a Link

    Share files with people who do not have pCloud accounts:

    1. Open the pCloud app on your Android device
    2. Tap on the file's share icon
    3. A window will pop up and the app will automatically generate a link
    4. Choose how you want to share it:
    • Via instant messaging applications
    • By email
    • Through Twitter or Facebook
    • Other apps available on your device

    Sharing Folders

    To share a folder from your Android device:

    1. Open the pCloud app
    2. Navigate to the folder you want to share
    3. Click on the three dots next to the folder
    4. A menu will appear with three sharing options:
    • Share Link: Generate a download link
    • Invite to Folder: Collaborate with pCloud users
    • Request Files: Allow others to upload files

    View and manage all your shared links:

    1. Open the pCloud app
    2. Go to Shared Links in the main menu
    3. View all your shared files and folders

    Note: The Shared Links section makes it easy to share the same file or folder with another person without creating a new link.

    View Statistics

    Check who has viewed or downloaded your shared content:

    1. Open the app and go to Shared links (left menu)
    2. Choose a folder/file and tap the More options menu
    3. Select "View Statistics"

    Create and manage shared links from your iPhone or iPad with the pCloud iOS app.

    How to Share a Link

    Share files with anyone, even those without pCloud accounts:

    1. Open the pCloud app on your iOS device
    2. Tap on the file's share icon
    3. A new window will pop up and the application will automatically generate a link
    4. Choose the way you want to share it:
    • Via instant messaging applications
    • By email
    • Through Twitter or Facebook
    • Other apps available on your device

    Sharing Folders

    To share a folder from your iOS device:

    1. Open the pCloud app
    2. Navigate to the folder you want to share
    3. Tap on the folder's more options menu
    4. Select from the sharing options:
    • Share Link: Generate a download link
    • Invite to Folder: Collaborate with pCloud users
    • Request Files: Allow others to upload files

    • View all your active shared links
    • Easily share the same file or folder with another person
    • Manage your existing links

    Note: The Shared Links section is designed for easier subsequent sharing without having to regenerate links.
