Payment Methods and Billing Cycles

pCloud offers flexible payment methods and billing options to suit your needs. Whether you prefer a monthly subscription, annual plan with savings, or a one-time lifetime payment, understanding your payment options will help you manage your account effectively.

Accepted Payment Methods

pCloud accepts multiple payment methods depending on your platform:

Website Payments

  • Credit and Debit Cards - All major cards accepted
  • PayPal - Requires a linked credit/debit card
  • Alipay - Available for select regions

Mobile App Payments

  • Google Play - For Android devices
  • Apple App Store (iTunes) - For iOS devices

Important: When paying with PayPal, you need to have a credit/debit card connected to your PayPal account. It is not possible to pay with your PayPal balance alone.

Accepted Currencies

pCloud accepts payments in the following currencies:

  • EUR - For European users
  • GBP - For UK users
  • USD - For users outside of Europe

If you pay with a credit or debit card in a different currency, your bank will automatically convert the payment to the supported pCloud currency.

Billing Plan Options

You have multiple billing frequency options for your pCloud account:

Individual Plans

  • Monthly Subscription - Billed every month automatically
  • Annual Subscription - Billed once per year with 20% savings
  • Lifetime Payment - One-time payment for 99 years or the lifetime of the account holder, whichever is shorter

Business Plans

  • Monthly Subscription - Billed monthly with automatic renewal
  • Annual Subscription - Save 20% with yearly billing

Note: pCloud Business is not available with Lifetime payment. Business plans are designed for ongoing team collaboration with monthly or annual billing.

Upgrading Between Billing Cycles

You can upgrade from a monthly to an annual subscription at any time:

For Individual Plans

  1. Go to the pCloud website on a desktop device
  2. Click on the Account circle icon
  3. Select Manage Subscriptions
  4. Choose your desired billing frequency

For Business Plans

  1. Go to the pCloud website on a desktop device
  2. Open the Business section from the menu on the left
  3. Select Billing
  4. Click Upgrade to Annual and Save 20% (if currently on monthly)

Upgrading Your Plan Mid-Cycle

If you upgrade your subscription before the end of your billing period, the following applies:

Same Billing Frequency

When upgrading between plans with the same billing frequency (e.g., Premium Monthly to Premium Plus Monthly):

  • Your billing date won't change
  • You'll be charged a prorated amount immediately to cover the rest of the month
  • Your payment will be adjusted proportionally to avoid surcharges

Different Billing Frequency

When upgrading to a plan with different billing frequency (e.g., Premium Monthly to Premium Plus Annual):

  • You'll be billed at the new interval starting on the day of the change
  • A prorated amount is charged immediately for the rest of the current period
  • Your payment is adjusted proportionally

Special Note: If you want to upgrade from a monthly or annual plan to a Lifetime plan, please contact the pCloud Support team for assistance.

  • Apple App Store - Follow Apple's cancellation process
