Family Plan: Inviting Family Members
How to Invite Family Members
As a Family plan owner, you can invite up to 4 family members:
- Go to my.pCloud.com and open the Family tab (in the sidebar)
- Enter your family member's email address
- Add a message (optional)
- Assign storage quota
- Click Send invite
The person will receive an invite email to accept or decline. If they don't receive it, you can copy the invite link from the Family tab.
Monitoring Invite Status
From the Family tab, you can see:
- Active status: The person has accepted and is a Family member
- Pending status: The person received the invite but hasn't responded
Canceling Pending Invites
If you sent an invite to the wrong email address:
- Go to my.pCloud and open the Family tab
- Locate the person whose invite you want to cancel
- Click Cancel
Family Plan: Removing Family Members
How to Remove a Family Member
As a Family plan owner:
- Go to my.pCloud and open the Family tab
- Locate the family member
- Click Remove
What Happens After Removal
When you remove a Family member:
- They keep their pCloud account and files
- Their account turns to Basic (free)
- They lose access to all Premium features
- They receive an email notification about the removal
- They cannot access services shared by your Family plan
- If their files exceed free storage, standard storage rules apply
Family Plan: Managing Storage Quotas
Adjusting Family Member Storage
As a Family plan owner, you can modify storage quotas:
- Go to my.pCloud and open the Family tab
- Locate the family member
- Click Manage
- Adjust their storage quota
- Save changes
Important: Only the Family plan owner can manage storage quotas. Family members cannot modify their own storage and must contact the plan owner.
Leaving a Family Plan (As Member)
How to Leave
If you no longer want to be part of a Family plan:
- Open my.pCloud.com and log in
- Click your Account avatar
- Go to Settings > Account
- Click Leave account
- Follow the system instructions
What Happens After Leaving
- You keep your pCloud account and files
- Your account turns to Basic
- You lose access to Premium features
- The Family plan owner receives an email notification
- You cannot access services shared by the Family plan
